Rawalpindi, October 21, 2026 — The Pakistan Scientific and Technological Information Centre (PASTIC) marked another milestone in its efforts to strengthen Pakistan’s research ecosystem with the official national launch of ScholarMark by DecentraSec. Held under the theme “A New Dawn in the Research Era,” the launch ceremony took place at the Auditorium, NICAT (NASTP), Rawalpindi.
The ceremony was attended by Director General PASTIC, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akram Shaikh, alongside prominent scientists, academic researchers, and institutional officials. The event highlighted the role of digital innovation and institutional collaboration in supporting academic research and promoting research integrity across Pakistan.
ScholarMark is designed to provide advanced digital infrastructure, verification capabilities, and innovative solutions to support academic publishing. The platform aims to assist scholars, universities, and research and development organizations in streamlining research workflows and strengthening the credibility of scholarly work.
During the ceremony, participants received a briefing on the platform’s intended role in supporting the academic community. The session outlined how ScholarMark seeks to address research and publishing needs through digital solutions and contribute to a more efficient and reliable research environment.
