PASTIC Successfully Concludes 56th SPSS Training Workshop

Pakistan Science and Technology Information Centre (PASTIC) successfully concluded the 56th batch of a three-days training workshop on Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) at PASTIC National Centre, QAU Campus, Islamabad. The hands-on training workshop held from 19-21 February, 2025, was designed to empower researchers, students, and professionals with the necessary skills to effectively utilize SPSS software for advanced data analysis.

Thirty-Six (36) participants from the Department of Pharmacy, QAU Islamabad, attended the training workshop. Dr. Muhammad Usman was the Resource Person for the said training workshop. Sessions were held on Transformation, MVA, Descriptive Statistics, and Inferential Statistics. Interactive competitions were also held for participants' engagement in the sessions. Participants also visited PASTIC National Science Reference Library and the Reprographic Unit (Press).

Participants appreciated the program for its insightful sessions on advanced research tools, instructional leadership, and modern teaching methodologies. They highlighted the practical approach and interactive learning environment as key takeaways, emphasizing its impact on their research and professional growth.

Special thanks to Dr. Fehmi Aziz (Biology Department, QAU) and PASTIC Alumni for sparing their time to motivate the participants before the training. The workshop concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, recognizing the participants’ dedication and newly acquired skills. Dr. Amjad Khan (Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacy, QAU) and Dr. Maryum Ibrar (Additional Director, PASTIC) distributed the certificates among the participants in the closing ceremony.
