ISLAMABAD, November 4, 2025 — The Pakistan Scientific and Technological Information Centre (PASTIC) conducted a hybrid webinar on “Data Analytics using SPSS” on 04th November, 2025. The session provided an introductory overview of the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), focusing on how researchers can effectively analyze and interpret their data using this powerful statistical tool.
The webinar was attended by over 90 participants online and 10 members in person at the PASTIC IT Training Lab. Participants represented a diverse range of universities and organizations, including Quaid-i-Azam University, Kohsar University, University of Karachi, CUST, BMU, Sindh Education Department, SSH Telecom SMC Pvt. Ltd., Fatima Jinnah Medical College, Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Faisalabad Medical College, UIT University, Riphah International University, National Defence University, GIKI, KFUEIT, University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Higher Education Department Punjab, BZU, Tianjin University, MUST, BUITEMS, NIH, Minhaj University, and others.
The session aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of data analysis techniques and promote the effective use of digital research tools.
This initiative is part of PASTIC’s ongoing efforts to strengthen research capacity building in Pakistan by providing hands-on training opportunities in essential digital and analytical tools for researchers, academics, and professionals nationwide.
