PASTIC Organizes One-Day In-House Training Workshop on “E-Filing and Office Automation”

Islamabad, November 7, 2025 —The Pakistan Scientific and Technological Information Centre (PASTIC) organized a one-day in-house training workshop on “E-Filing and Office Automation” at the PASTIC National Centre, Islamabad. The workshop aimed to enhance the digital competency of officers and officials by promoting efficient and paperless office practices in line with the Government of Pakistan’s vision for digital governance.


The session was conducted by Mr. Saifullah Azim, Principal System Analyst, Mr. Tariq Mehmood, and Mr. Muhammad Umer, who shared their expertise on electronic file management, e-correspondence, and office automation tools. Around 25–30 officers and officials from PASTIC participated in the workshop.


The workshop provided participants with hands-on training on the use of e-filing systems, digital correspondence protocols, and automation software. It also emphasized the importance of transparency, efficiency, and accountability through the adoption of electronic administration.

Speaking on the occasion, the resource persons highlighted how e-Office and other automation tools can streamline workflows, reduce physical file movement, and improve coordination among departments. The workshop reflects PASTIC’s continued commitment to strengthening institutional capacity through digital transformation and professional development of its human resources. By fostering a culture of automation and paperless operations, PASTIC aims to improve internal efficiencies and contribute to a more transparent and technology-driven public sector.

The event concluded with a note of appreciation for the participants’ keen interest and an acknowledgment of the Training Wing’s efforts in organizing the session.
