PASTIC AND QAU HOLD SEMINAR TO PROMOTE “RESEARCH CULTURE AMONG UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS”

Islamabad, November 13, 2025 — The Pakistan Scientific and Technological Information Centre (PASTIC) National Center, Islamabad, in collaboration with the Department of Pharmacy, Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), organized a seminar titled “Research for All – Empowering Undergraduate Researchers” at the Saulat Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Research’s Seminar Hall, QAU.


The event aimed to encourage a research-oriented mindset among undergraduate students and introduce them to essential scientific tools and methodologies. More than 75 students and young researchers participated in the session, where they received guidance on research practices, data management, and analytical techniques.


A major highlight of the seminar was an introductory workshop on data analytics using the SPSS software, conducted by the PASTIC team. The hands-on session familiarized attendees with basic data analysis procedures, enabling them to effectively interpret and manage research data.

The seminar concluded with an engaging discussion on the importance of data-driven approaches in academic projects. Participants commended PASTIC for its initiatives to strengthen research culture and support emerging scientists through capacity-building activities.

In the closing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Tofeeq-ur-Rehman, Chairperson of the Department of Pharmacy, distributed shields and certificates among the participants, organizers, and Resource Persons.
